Extended Description: Dr. Barbara Wolanin will describe some of the murals, sculptures, paintings, and archives she cared for over the 30 years she was Curator for the Architect of the United States Capitol, so frighteningly invaded in January. Few people are aware of the range of heritage assets the Architect of the Capitol oversees. Managing the conservation of art, which she first learned about at Oberlin College, is the accomplishment of which she is most proud. An audience Q&A moderated by Andria Derstine, John G.W. Cowles Director of the AMAM, will follow the talk. | Image: Thomas Moran (American, 1837–1926), "The Grand Canyon," 1909. Oil on canvas. Gift of Mrs. John A. Hadden in memory of Mrs. Francis F.
