Short Description: Learn ice dyeing, a simple method to dye a t-shirt that can yield bright colors and striking patterns. Ages 15+. Instructor Gina Talandis
Extended Description: Students must bring a newly washed 100% cotton t-shirt, preferably white. You may bring instead a square of newly washed 100% cotton fabric no more than 4 feet by 4 feet. Do not use fabric softener on either item when it is washed. The first day we will set the items to dye under ice, and the second day we will open and rinse out. Appointments for 20 minutes for each student will be set for the second day. Everyone is welcome to stay the entire 2nd session to watch how all the other patterns emerge. All students should bring good rubber gloves, like for dishwashing.
